Softball Recap: Muhlenberg Comes Up Short

Muhlenberg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Boiling Springs Bubblers, falling 20-3.

Muhlenberg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Wentzel, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Muhlenberg's record is now 0-3. As for Boiling Springs, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Looking ahead, Muhlenberg will square off against Octorara Area at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Octorara Area has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something Muhlenberg will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Boiling Springs, they will face off against Waynesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give Boiling Springs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
