Gibsonburg hadn't done well against Lakota recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Golden Bears skirted past the Raiders 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

Gibsonburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-9.

Leah Hall paced Gibsonburg's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hall got some help from Brooklyn Smith and her 26 assists. Finally, Katie Hall kept Gibsonburg's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Gibsonburg's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lakota, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 16-8.

Gibsonburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fairview on the 23rd. Lakota does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
