Basketball Recap: Campbellsville Comes Up Short

Campbellsville managed to keep up with Muhlenberg County until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Campbellsville Eagles came up short against the Muhlenberg County Mustangs, falling 68-47. The loss leaves the Eagles without a win on the season.

Despite the loss, Campbellsville still got an impressive performance from Keaton Hord, who posted 14 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Kessler, who had seven points.

Campbellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Muhlenberg County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Campbellsville Eagles face off against the North Hardin Christian Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Campbellsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. As for Muhlenberg County, they will challenge Grayson County at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
