Softball Recap: Morrilton Takes a Loss

Morrilton and Brookland squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Morrilton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Devil Dogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Morrilton has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Brookland, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

As of now, neither Morrilton nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
