Frankfort had lost eight games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-14 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Sparta Bulldogs as they made off with a 15-7 win. The Redbirds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Sparta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

For Sparta's part, Braden Reinhardt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Skylar Spivey, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Frankfort will take on Eldorado at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sparta, they will face off against Pinckneyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
