Volleyball Recap: Dolores Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dolores can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sedgwick County Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Dolores saw an underclassman step up: freshman Layla Mitchell had 22 digs and three aces. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Dolores' loss dropped their record down to 25-3. As for Sedgwick County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-7.

Dolores does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sedgwick County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Holyoke on the 15th.
