Basketball Recap: East Ridge Comes Up Short

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Tug Valley Panthers, falling 77-37. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 209th in Kentucky, while the Panthers are ranked 35th in West Virginia).

Tug Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenzie Browning led the charge by going 7 of 14 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Bailee Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tug Valley, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Ridge has already played their next contest (against Shelby Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tug Valley has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against St. Joseph Central.
