Crescenta Valley is 8-2 against Burbank since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Crescenta Valley Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burbank Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Burbank will be up against a hot Crescenta Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Crescenta Valley took down Muir 64-45 on Monday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Mustangs are ranked 843rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vaughn Zargarian was his usual excellent self, going 13 of 26 on his way to 40 points and seven steals. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Crescenta Valley's points. Michael Sahagian was another key player, putting up 13 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Burbank humbled Glendale Adventist with an 86-31 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 28 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Burbank and bumps their season record up to 16-6. As for Crescenta Valley, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Crescenta Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Burbank in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 65-54. Does Crescenta Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Burbank turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
