Volleyball Recap: York Dukes vs. Elkhorn Antlers
York was the 2-1 winner over Elkhorn when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Dukes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antlers on Saturday.
Harley Wardyn paced York's offense, picking up seven kills. Wardyn got some help from Kinslee Kern and her 13 assists. Addison Andersen and Sydney Jacobsen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Leading Elkhorn to victory were Bailey Ferguson and Lucy Stockdale. Ferguson had four digs and three aces, while Stockdale had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Stockdale has posted over her last eight games.
York has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Elkhorn, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.
