Poyen has gone 8-2 against Ouachita recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Poyen will be strutting in after a victory while Ouachita will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Poyen turned things around against Parkers Chapel on Tuesday. They blew past the Trojans 12-6.

Meanwhile, while it was Ouachita who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Hampton who put up more. The Warriors took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tynlee Efird was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Mylee Crow also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Ouachita's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Poyen, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Everything went Poyen's way against Ouachita when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Poyen made off with a 15-1 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
