Soccer Game Preview: Antioch vs. Pearl-Cohn

The Antioch Bears will venture away from home to take on the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Antioch's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillsboro on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Antioch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Hillsboro are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Pearl-Cohn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to LEAD Academy.

Pearl-Cohn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Antioch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.
