Soccer Game Preview: Peru vs. Wabash

The Peru Tigers will take on the Wabash Apaches at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Monday. Peru fell 2-0 to Northwestern. Peru hasn't had much luck with Northwestern recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Wabash managed to keep up with Blackford until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Apaches lost 3-0 to the Bruins. Wabash fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Blackford since Thursday.

Peru's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Wabash, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1.

Everything went Peru's way against Wabash in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Peru made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Apaches have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
