Basketball Game Preview: Bay Tigers vs. Moss Point Tigers

The Bay Tigers will square off against the Moss Point Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bay fought the good fight in their overtime game against Greene County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Moss Point came up short against Pass Christian on Tuesday and fell 63-55.

Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Moss Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season.

Bay was able to grind out a solid victory over Moss Point when the teams last played last Monday, winning 47-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
