Marist had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Romeoville Spartans to the tune of 77-27 on Monday. The RedHawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Romeoville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kazaria Smith, who posted ten points. That was a full 37% of Romeoville's points, marking the 29th time in a row Smith has had more than a third of the team's points.

Marist has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Romeoville, they dropped their record down to 8-22 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
