Basketball Recap: Pipestone Takes a Loss

Pipestone was the 52-49 winner over Marshall when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Pipestone Arrows might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Marshall Tigers an easy 68-47 victory. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Tigers are ranked 48th).

Pipestone dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Marshall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Pipestone will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Minnewaska Area at 5:45 p.m. on December 30th. One thing working in Minnewaska Area's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. Marshall and Tea will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on December 30th.
