Baseball Recap: Hancock Gets the Win

The Hancock Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Superior Central Cougars 9-8. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

The win made it two in a row for Hancock and bumps their season record up to 16-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Superior Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14-1 record this season.

Hancock will face off against Negaunee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 4, the Miners 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Superior Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
