Softball Recap: Vela Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Vela had won three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 7-4 to make it four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for the Sabercats, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered against Vela since April 10, 2018.
