Soccer Recap: Iowa Colony Takes a Loss

Iowa Colony lost against Angleton back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Iowa Colony Pioneers came up short against the Angleton Wildcats, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 500th, while the Wildcats are ranked 228th).

This is the second loss in a row for Iowa Colony and nudges their season record down to 7-8. As for Angleton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coincidentally, Iowa Colony and Angleton will both be playing La Porte the next time they take the pitch. Angleton will head out to face La Porte at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Iowa Colony will host them at 7:30 p.m. on March 7th.
