Baseball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for McFarland's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Mount Horeb Vikings on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly six runs.

McFarland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Gauwitz, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Gauwitz has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for McFarland and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Mount Horeb, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

While McFarland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
