Basketball Recap: Madelin Turner Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Valley

Whitefield Academy won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Whitefield Academy Wildcats snuck past the Valley Vikings with a 49-44 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitefield Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madelin Turner, who posted two points in addition to ten boards and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Turner a new career-high in rebounds. Mia Braffet was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

Whitefield Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They are 22-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Whitefield Academy's win bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 27-6 record.

Whitefield Academy has already played their next contest, a 51-27 defeat against Mercy on the 8th. Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
