Softball Game Preview: Plumas Charter Warriors vs. Happy Camp Indians

The Plumas Charter Warriors will square off against the Happy Camp Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plumas Charter has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Plumas Charter is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Chester on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to the Volcanoes. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Volcanoes: they've now lost four in a row.

Aubrie Schramel and Lucy Joesph did some serious damage despite the final result: Schramel went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Joesph went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Joesph has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Happy Camp played against Princeton back in April and lost via forfeit.

This is the second loss in a row for Happy Camp and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Plumas Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1.
