Volleyball Game Preview: Piedmont Hills Pirates vs. Evergreen Valley Cougars + How To Watch

The Piedmont Hills Pirates will square off against the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Piedmont Hills came up short against Branham and fell 3-1. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Piedmont Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Katelyn Young put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had four digs and four aces. Erika Liberato also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Valley also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Leland by a score of 2-0.

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Piedmont Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
