Softball Recap: Cibola's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Piedra Vista, Cibola was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Rio Rancho Rams by a score of 11-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Celia Marquez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Benavidez, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Cibola's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Rio Rancho, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Cibola didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Farmington on the 28th. As for Rio Rancho, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-6 victory against Piedra Vista on the 28th.
