Valor Christian and Legend are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Valor Christian will welcome Legend at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valor Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Valor Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Calvary Day on Thursday. Valor Christian fell just short of Calvary Day by a score of 6-5.

Valor Christian got a good showing from Sennon Lawrence, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Lawrence a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Valor Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Kenz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That stolen base was Kenz's first of the season. Another was Trystan Chadwick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legend). They blew past Eaglecrest 11-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Titans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Tyler Houston looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Colton Brush was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Wold, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Legend always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Legend's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Valor Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Valor Christian skirted past Legend 9-8 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Valor Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Legend turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
