Softball Recap: North Vermilion Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Jennings on Wednesday, North Vermilion came back down to earth. The North Vermilion Patriots fell just short of the Sulphur Golden Tors by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 15-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

North Vermilion's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Sulphur, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
