Baseball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Sets Scoring Season-High Against La Crescent

Rushford-Peterson scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Crescent Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in April.

Rushford-Peterson dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for La Crescent, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rushford-Peterson will face off against Houston at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for La Crescent, they will square off against Jordan at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lancers are facing the Hubmen / Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Hubmen / Jaguars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
