Soccer Game Preview: Panorama vs. Van Nuys

The Panorama Pythons will venture away from home to square off against the Van Nuys Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Panorama's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Panorama and Reseda had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pythons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Regents on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Panorama can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 811th, while Reseda are ranked 334th).

Meanwhile, neither Van Nuys nor Sylmar could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Van Nuys' draw makes their record 10-9-4 this season. As for Panorama, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12-1.

Panorama might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Van Nuys in their previous matchup on Monday. Can the Pythons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
