Recap: Middleton Tigers vs. Bolivar Central Tigers
Even though the Middleton Tigers have not done well against the Bolivar Central Tigers recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Middleton came out on top against Bolivar Central by a score of 56-46. Given Middleton's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Bolivar Central is ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Middleton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Talley out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Harmony Bell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Middleton and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Bolivar Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Middleton will head out on the road to face off against McNairy Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bolivar Central, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Whitehaven at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
