Rangely has gone 8-2 against Caprock Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rangely Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Caprock Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Rangely is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Rangely was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Meeker. The Panthers have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Marcos Quintana, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Landon Bollinger was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Rangely smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Caprock Academy suffered their biggest loss since January 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 65-34 loss at the hands of Plateau Valley. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Caprock Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Rangely, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Rangely beat Caprock Academy 51-43 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Rangely repeat their success, or does Caprock Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
