North East extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They lost 10-2 to the General McLane Lancers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Grape Pickers have suffered since April 22nd.

Maisy Post made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

As for General McLane, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-12-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games.

On General McLane's side, Makayla Rapela was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Rapela has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Lorah, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, North East will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. As for General McLane, they will head out on the road to square off against Meadville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
