Volleyball Recap: Clay Center Snags 26th Win in Last 27 Games

Clay Center took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against McPherson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers won by a set and slipped past the Bullpups 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since October 4th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Clay Center got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 25-17.

Raimee Lipker paced Clay Center's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lipker got some help from Raicee Lipker and her 32 assists.

Clay Center is on a roll lately: they've won 26 of their last 27 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-3 record this season. As for McPherson, they moved to 32-7 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Clay Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Andale on the 1st. As for McPherson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hayden on the 31st.
