Volleyball Recap: Mount Olive Comes Up Short

Mount Olive was the 2-1 winner over Sparta when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Marauders fell 2-0 to the Spartans on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20.

Ayden Flitcroft paced Mount Olive's offense, picking up five kills. Flitcroft got some help from Ryan Bause and his eight assists. Bause was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Mount Olive now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Sparta, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Mount Olive does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sparta, they are taking a road trip to take on Morristown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
