Recap: Tikigaq Harpooners vs. Durango Trailblazers
The Tikigaq Harpooners were the 65-51 winner over the Durango Trailblazers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tikigaq suffered a rough 58-38 defeat at the hands of Durango on Thursday.
Amarie Riley was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Durango. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Rayneria Lockett, who scored 11 points.
Tikigaq's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Durango, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-10.
Tikigaq does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Durango will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Canyon Springs will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
