Softball Game Preview: West Plains Wolves vs. Bushland Falcons

The West Plains Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Bushland Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

West Plains' tournament run continued when they took on Monterey on Saturday. West Plains took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monterey. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Plains saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Beck, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bushland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 13-9 to Andrews. One positive for the Falcons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Chayney Snelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Piper Francis also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

West Plains' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bushland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

West Plains came up short against Bushland in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 9-6. Can West Plains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
