Badin is a perfect 4-0 against Tippecanoe since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rams will challenge the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Badin sitting on six straight wins and Tippecanoe on 11.
Badin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Chaminade Julienne Catholic with a sharp 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Caleb Driessen tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chandler Taylor was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Vince Laugle, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Badin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaminade Julienne Catholic only posted a batting average of .143.
Meanwhile, Tippecanoe sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Batavia on Friday.
Carson Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, James Merry was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Liskey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Badin's victory bumped their record up to 26-3-1. As for Tippecanoe, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Badin has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Tippecanoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Badin's way against Tippecanoe in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Badin made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
