Softball Recap: Versailles Takes a Loss

Versailles's last matchup with Minster could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Versailles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Francis, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Versailles' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Minster, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Versailles will venture away from home to take on Anna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Minster, they will square off against Fort Loramie at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
