Basketball Game Preview: Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles

The Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams and the GlenOak Golden Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Garfield Community Learning Center knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully GlenOak likes a good challenge.

Garfield Community Learning Center is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Ignatius just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took an 83-68 bruising from the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Golden Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Wildcats are ranked first).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask GlenOak). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat East 79-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since January 16th.

GlenOak is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Garfield Community Learning Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
