Softball Recap: Anderson County Beats Tipton-Rosemark Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

Anderson County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Tipton-Rosemark Academy on Friday. The Mavericks blew past the Rebels 9-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Alli McKamey was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maci Benge, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Anderson County's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13-1.

Anderson County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against White County on the 12th. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Gibbs on the 11th.
