Fairland is 9-1 against Ironton since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Fairland Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Ironton Fighting Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Fairland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season.

Fairland took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They breezed by Rock Hill to the tune of 86-21. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Redmen are ranked 509th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamryn Barnitz, who went 6 of 11 en route to 18 points and three steals. Bailey Russell was another key player, going 6 for 13 on her way to 16 points and four steals.

Fairland was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Ironton suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 59-21 loss at the hands of Portsmouth. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Fairland's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Ironton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Fairland against Ironton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
