Football Game Preview: Dixie Heights Colonels vs. Cooper Jaguars

Dixie Heights hasn't had much luck against Cooper recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Colonels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Dixie Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Scott to the tune of 62-13 on Friday. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cooper duked it out with Conner on Friday. The Jaguars blew past the Cougars, posting a 49-14 win. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

Cooper had a senior duo take command as Keagan Maher gained 216 total yards and five touchdowns and Cam O'Hara threw for 220 yards and three TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes.

Dixie Heights' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Cooper, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Dixie Heights was taken down by Cooper 63-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colonels were down 42-14.
