Football Recap: Elkhorn Falls Short of Homestead in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Elkhorn couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Homestead Highlanders 36-0 on Friday. The Elks were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Highlanders' defense proved too tough.

Elkhorn's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Homestead, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

As of now, neither Elkhorn nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
