Softball Recap: Filer Comes Up Short

Filer's last matchup with Teton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. Filer came up short against Teton, falling 22-10. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Timberwolves from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Heidi Winegar was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Daniella DeLaRosa was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Filer is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Teton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Coming up, Filer will take on Rocky Mountain in a tournament on Saturday. Filer's pitchers better be ready for this one: Rocky Mountain has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Teton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Nampa at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
