The King Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Kaiser Cats at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
While King didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Poly by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday.
Isaac Sanchez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Sanchez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Chavez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adan Diaz, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
King was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poly only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kaiser's offense. They lost 6-0 to Northview on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Cats were not able to get on the board.
Kaiser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alberto Arteaga, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
King's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Kaiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Kaiser's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: King has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. It's a different story for Kaiser, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain King's hitters?
King skirted past Kaiser 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for King since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
