Softball Game Preview: Panther Valley Panthers vs. Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils

The Panther Valley Panthers will challenge the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Panther Valley's offense. They lost 10-0 to Pine Grove on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Shenandoah Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Nativity BVM.

Aubrie Monaghan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Zoey Zurkowski was another key player, earning two RBI and two stolen bases.

Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Panther Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Panther Valley got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Shenandoah Valley by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
