Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee lost against North Union back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Shawnee Braves took a blow against the North Union Wildcats, falling 67-32. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 678th, while the Wildcats are ranked 113th).

Shawnee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for North Union, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee has already played their next match (against Graham Local), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Union will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bishop Ready at 7:30 p.m.
