Volleyball Recap: Sneads Has No Trouble Against Altha

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sneads had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Altha Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Monday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

It was another big night for LaRay Gibbs, who had 32 digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 37 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shaleigh Harrell, who had 13 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Sneads was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Sneads' win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Altha, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Looking ahead, Sneads will face off against Blountstown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Altha does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
