Basketball Game Preview: Edgewood Red Wolves vs. Satellite Scorpions + How To Watch

Edgewood is 0-5 against Satellite since January of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Red Wolves will be home for the holidays to greet the Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Edgewood beat Space Coast 49-45.

Santiago Jimenez and Joey Flora were among the main playmakers for Edgewood as the former almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals and the latter shot 55% from the field to rack up 12 points and five boards. Those nine steals gave Jimenez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eddie Monterrubio, who posted seven points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Edgewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Satellite didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tohopekaliga on Monday, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpions.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Satellite, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Edgewood might still be hurting after the 64-44 defeat they got from Satellite in their previous matchup back in January of 2021. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Red Wolves were down 44-18.
