Concordia had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Versailles Tigers.

Olivia Hemme made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Concordia let Addison Roepe and Ava Mueller run wild. Roepe went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Mueller went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Wilkens, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Concordia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 12 consecutive matches.

Concordia's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Versailles, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coming up, Concordia will take on El Dorado Springs in a tournament on Friday. The Fighting Orioles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Versailles, they will head out to face off against Stover at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
