 Southwestern's hitters rose to the challenge against a Raiders pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.92  runs allowed on Wednesday. The Southwestern Warriors put the hurt on the McCreary Central Raiders with a sharp  10-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southwestern also won the last time the pair played  back in April.
 Southwestern got a big performance out of  Cameron Shipp, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Jonah Brock was another key contributor,  going 3-for-3 with three  RBI.
 On McCreary Central's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carter Gabbard, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, McCreary Central  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 14  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwestern only tossed five.
 Southwestern's victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for McCreary Central, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwestern will  take on Garrard County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Garrard County is coming into the  match with three straight  wins at home,  so Southwestern will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum. As for McCreary Central, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Lynn Camp at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. McCreary Central is facing Lynn Camp at the right time seeing as Lynn Camp is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
