While Coffee County Central's win against Loretto wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coffee County Central Red Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Loretto Mustangs on Thursday, sneaking past 9-8. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Coffee County Central got a great performance from Leiton Yancer as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Yancer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kasen Morrison was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Colter Neel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Coffee County Central's record now sits at 8-3. As for Loretto, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coffee County Central will host Central Magnet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coffee County Central's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Central Magnet's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Loretto, they will welcome Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
